Amelia Dimoldenberg first found her feet as a budding journalist at Central Saint Martins, working hard for a degree in fashion journalism.
The British presenter, now living in north London, was honoured with Student Broadcast Journalist of the Year at The Guardian Student Media Awards in 2014 for her quick-witted YouTube channel, Chicken Shop Date. Whilst building on her online prominence, Dimoldenberg was busy freelancing for household publications such as i-D and Dazed, and has recently hosted documentaries for cutting-edge broadcaster, Vice. The 23 year old landed her first interview on her YouTube account with UK rapper Ghetts, which amassed almost 400,000 views. The format of Dimoldenberg’s channel follows her on a series of dates with emerging and established talent, in the unconventional surroundings of various chicken shops, and she's currently showcasing the third series of the project, after gaining recognition from Charlie Sloth on BBC Radio 1 Xtra, and most recently Rinse FM, following a staggering 750,000 views for an interview with Grime MC AJ Tracey. Her latest film features popular TV presenter (and rap superstar Stormzy's girlfriend), Maya Jama, and we're eagerly tracking this comic talent's next move.
